This week has been a very interesting week in my world! I wasn't enrolled in the class until late Monday and didn't have an IA until Thursday. I did get my books Friday which I was very thankful for. All of these things led me to have a very school filled weekend. I am very fortunate to have a great group of ladies who are awesome at the "Google" thing. I have learned a lot this week about Google docs, etc etc. I am considering getting a Google Nexus so that I can do homework while my son practices football :) i need to get more involved in the tech world since my degree will be in ED tech.
Ok, on to the readings/videos.... wow... Cyborg???? I mean I have seen this sort of stuff on Star Trek- yes I am a quasi Treke- but to really consider it in real life- wow- just wow. I think that has been the most interesting aspect of this weeks lessons.
The theory I most consider myself to be aligned with is the Constructivist theory because I do believe that people bring a unique set of experiences to the table. For example, my sister and I remember a totally different childhood even though we were raised in the same home with the same parents. Her life experiences have brought her to where she is just like mine have brought me here. Children are the same~ we once had a child in a head start classroom who didn't know what a green bean was simply because he had not been exposed to it.
I am really looking forward to the next four weeks of this class! I think it is going to be great!
