Goal:
| The main goal of this project will be to investigate which truancy sentencing programs are most effective in preventing repeat truancy filings. A few sub-goals I hope to learn from this project are: are there any online resources for truancy, what are the best ways to prevent truancy from happening, and what role do parents play in truancy. |

Marissa you have a major project on your hands and I wish you the best. Once you have conducted all of your interviews and surveys, how will you try to fix the truancy problem? I think you will need a support team as well because it's such a big task and you need someone to bounce ideas off of, therefore you won't feel overwhelmed in the long run. I love your plan and I look forward to hearing about how everything will work out.

ReplyDeleteSorry I could not peep in on your earlier. I hadn't forgotten about you, so here I am giving you my 2 cents:)
I was thinking (after reading over your plan and seeing Flo's comment) that your project might be a little too major. I figure you can duke it out with superwoman, but maybe you should try to create a sample of those with whom you observe and interact. I am going to guess that there are a good number of truant individuals....maybe you want to limit the sample to a certain age range or grade level so you aren't swarmed with data and information.
